Biography
Dr. Weidner is Doctoral Capstone Coordinator (DCC) for the entry-level occupational therapy doctorate (OTD) program at The Chicago School's Chicago campus. She has been an occupational therapist since 2015, with experience in school-based services, outpatient pediatrics, and home health. She received her post-professional doctorate in 2024. Dr. Weidner taught at the OTD program at Southern Illinois University before assuming her position at The Chicago School. She enjoys teaching a variety of courses and helping students to develop their clinical reasoning skills across practice settings. Prior to becoming an occupational therapist, Dr. Weidner taught English as a second language and academic writing to adults in and around the Chicago area. Outside of work, she enjoys hiking, reading, movies, and spending time with friends and family.
