Sara Appleton-Knapp

Sara Appleton-Knapp holds a Ph.D. and M.A. in Cognitive Psychology and an M.S. in Marketing. She trained at UCLA in Robert Bjork's Learning and Forgetting Lab. Her research focuses on spontaneous retrieval processes and their effects on memory and behavior. She has served on the faculty in the Neuroscience, Cognition and Behavior department at the University of San Diego and in the business school at San Diego State University and was a project scientist at the Center for Healthy Eating and Activity Research at UC San Diego. Her work has appeared in journals including Current Psychiatry Reports, the Journal of Consumer Behavior, and the Journal of Marketing Education.
