Title IX Policy and Training Materials

TCSPP Community Members who have experienced sexual misconduct, including sexual harassment, sexual assault, domestic violence, dating violence, or stalking or who are aware of incidents experienced by other TCSPP Community Members should immediately report the incident to the local police department. Reporting sexual assault, domestic violence, dating violence, and stalking to the police does not commit a Reporting Party to further legal action. However, the earlier an incident is reported, the easier it will be for the police to investigate, if the Reporting Party decides to proceed with criminal charges.

TCSPP Community Members may file a report with the Title IX Coordinator, a responsible employee, local law enforcement, or a medical professional. TCSPP Community Members may also contact a professional counselor or confidential advisor. TCSPP encourages those impacted by sexual misconduct to talk to someone identified in one or more of these groups. While TCSPP Community Members are encouraged to use their own judgment in terms of whom they chose to discuss reports of sexual misconduct with, TCSPP Community Members must also understand that TCSPP can only investigate and respond to incidents of sexual misconduct that it becomes aware of. A Reporting Party who at first requests confidentiality may later decide to file a complaint with TCSPP or report the incident to local law enforcement, and thus have the incident fully investigated.

A Reporting Party is not required to report to area law enforcement in order to receive assistance from or pursue any options within TCSPP.

The Title IX Coordinator will provide information about available support services and resources and assist the reporting party in notifying law enforcement, including the local police, if the Complainant elects to do so.
