Washington D.C. campus gains APA accreditation

The Commission on Accreditation of the American Psychological Association (APA) has awarded accreditation to The Chicago School’s Psy.D. in Clinical Psychology program at our Washington, D.C., Campus. Noting their appreciation in The Chicago School’s commitment “to develop and maintain the best possible quality of graduate education and training in psychology,” the APA has determined that The Chicago School’s Psy.D. program aligns with its strict standards and fosters excellence in postsecondary education. The APA further noted that “the program demonstrates respect for and understanding of individual and cultural diversity via its actions and policies.

Train alongside expert faculty
With more than two decades of experience, Renee Roman, Ph.D., is the department chair for both master’s and doctoral-level students in the Business Psychology Department at The Chicago School’s Washington, D.C., Campus. She is an expert in the field of industrial-organizational psychology and owns an executive coaching practice that specializes in leadership transitions. Dr. Roman has served at the senior executive level in the U.S. government in various capacities, including as a military officer with the U.S. Navy. She also served as the chief of staff for the Defense Logistics Agency and as deputy associate director of human resources in the Office of Personnel Management.
The Chicago School’s Washington, D.C., Campus allows students to learn from distinguished faculty members whose teaching credentials reach far beyond research and theory. As active practitioners in their respective fields, our faculty bring a wealth of insight to their classrooms including global perspectives and a dynamic curriculum rooted in firsthand experience.
