Strategic Plan

In creating our blueprint for the next five years and beyond, The Chicago School envisions a future that reaches far beyond its own institutional boundaries.

Forging the Path Forward

“Integrating Professions: Forging the Path Forward,” our 2020-2025 Strategic Plan, builds on the momentum gained from our previous plan and propels us forward to leverage everything we have learned during our history of more than 40 years.

We believe that psychology is inextricably woven throughout our daily lives and a critical component of the well-being of each of us. That’s why we are committed to incorporating a focus on mental health into all health care and to emphasizing interprofessional education throughout our curriculum.

I am grateful to all the individuals who contributed to this plan and look forward to the work we will do together as it becomes a reality. I am confident The Chicago School will become even stronger, refocused, and prepared for a changing world.

Strategic Plan Goals

The Chicago School’s four goals provide a framework for our distinctive vision of the future of our institution, the profession of psychology, and the communities we serve.

  1. Evolve and strengthen the brand to advance The Chicago School’s brand development.
  2. Prepare for generational, global, and regional population and demographic changes.
  3. Provide shorter and lower-cost pathways to degrees, credentials, and skills.
  4. Modernize and generationalize pedagogy, curriculum, the workforce, and our infrastructure.

The Time is Right

With more than 40 years of excellence in higher education, the time has arrived to take the next big step in our institution’s evolution.
